foofoo

I did a whole lot of nothing today and it was good. I did mow the lawn today, just the front though. It didn’t look any different at all since it was somewhat underwatered so it never really grew. Oh yeah there are two special editions of The Princess Bride on DVD now, one is the dead pirate edition and the back describes it through the action in the movie, the other version is the Buttercup edition and the back of the packagaing describes the mushy side of the movie. Both have different colour schemes as well.

I never did call my dad today, well I did call but the phone was busy. I’m bad at laundry it takes me about 12 hours to do 3 loads. I’m afraid to shave, when I was at the docks I got my head pretty burnt so I don’t want to shave and have a big white chin and sideburns. I should have shaved my head again, some spots are a bit uneven.

So yeah I stayed in and played Starcraft a bit during the last few days. Nothing really to write about.

I’m off

I just felt so weird today and sleepy. My eyes hurt and I am just tired. For most of the day I had a headache and I actually had a nap. Odama for gamecube will be 10 bucks in a little over a week at EB, should be fun, if I ever do play it. Kitty got a new mouse toy, it is mouse sized, well rat sized and it is kind of canvasy and chewy with stray fur that is sure to bother him. I found the jumping spider that we got weeks ago at St. Jacob’s. It has a squeeze ball that inflates a lift under the spider making it jump. Kitty likes killing it. The airbag underneathe is put in such a position that it can move forward. It is very cute when he starts attacking it, especially when it is under a flyer, he gets confused and digs.

I still can’t get the bbq up and running. I guess I’ll just use the George Foreman Grill instead, I haven’t used it before, I hope it is tastey. I found out Zellers not only sells the one model of Kayak that is there but also canoes and paddle boats and such. I’m not sure why but I am just so fascinate by it all. Wicked is coming again.

Headache again

Yesterday I went to bed around 9 to get sleep, I was just dead tired. So yeah I didn’t do a whole lot yesterday. I did try setting up the satelite what a pain in the ass that was too.

The canopener that I got not oo long ago I think is dieing already. It was strugling with two cans today and the gears turn much more than the I get around the can. They also didn’t cut in tow spots on both cans so I had to use a spoon to pry it open which got me covered in sauce. It feels pretty gross. Oh well, I did figure out the tv thing and saw Enterprise and some wrestling, so yay. Adium X for OS X is neat, when people messgae me a duck holds up heir name in the dock.

I burnt my foot…with the sun.

You can click on any of the pictures to get a larger version. Did an unexpected tour of St. Jacobs yesterday, Chris used a surprisingly quick way into the market. There was some interesting plants but we weren’t there for that. I was there to just hang around and look about. There was some African Tribe masks, I think I would be unnerved if they were hanging in my bedroom. Jen was interested in the build your own teddy bear bit. The cat angel was pretty cute. There was some smoked cock, crusty buns and hot chicks too! There was some John Deere hats too there. When kathy’s roommate saw the hat she just wanted it. What a farmer.

There was a little pony ride area and goat feeding pen. Basically the ponies were tied to a turn go round thing as someone gently pushed in making them move. Those little horsies looked very bored. If you like being in studio audiences you could experience it here with the as seen on TV stuff was in full force. There was a shredder thing that had Jen mesmerized, beside that was some weird lady displaying card tricks. She talked kind of slowly and purposefully. She reminded me of Roseanne’s tv mom from her show, she kind of looked like her as well. I didn’t get any pictures of her or her King of Spades sweater.

Waterloo park got the piglets back and they ran around a bit, it was pretty cute to see with their stubby little legs. The battery was gone by then. The emus were back as well. Chris tore leaves off the tree and fed the pregnant goat or the cute lil baby goats. I didn’t get to see the duckies but I suspect Jen saw a very gross bathroom.

We toured around a bit more looking for cheap bedroom furnature, I can’t think of any place to get bedroom furnature on the cheap other than liquidation world and their selection is variable and can be pretty bad. Smitty’s which we did visit was very expensive and the fashion furnature and chairs were really ugly and expensive. They had some chairs that sat one person and was really ugly for a grand. They did have a couple of nice peices though but they were still pretty expensive. I have no idea what I’ll do when I need real furnature, maybe some kind of estate sale. Liquidation world had a bunch more KFC buckets, I still need to take pictures of it, they also had Dairy Queen ones but they weren’t as cool.

When you are wearing a tiger shirt you will get laid for sure. This guy had a lot of trouble keeping the chicks off of him. He has the eye of the tiger and stuff. Kitty decided to sleep on my laundry he kept burrowing to get away from the cold, I always love watching him do stuff like that. Oh yeah I got 10 more fish and they all school together. I found out that my heater isn’t heating though. I was getting a pimp one from the local pet shop but my tank has a lip around the edge and it needed to be flat against the tank.

Kitty sure does like protecting us from the enemy. I am glad he keeps the chipmunk at bay, otherwise he could eat my nuts. Kitty is still a little afraid of him but if he run kitty’s instincts kick in and he wants to chase him. Unfortunatley when kitty goes outside now he just runs to the garden into the dirt and rolls into it really good. And he really rolls to make sure he gets all scratched.

Oakville was nice

but I sure don’t want to live there. Well at least not the part I saw of it, I also travelled through what I think is old Milton Downtown, it is pretty boring. So there was traffic on the 401 and the lanes were closed for a bit so we decided to try to get to work through some other roads through Milton to get to the 407. Was that ever a bad idea, well maybe it was a good idea, it is hard to judge if you actually saved time since you can’t tell really if the 401 traffic really moved. I’m sure it did but they were announcing that the traffic was backed up even further than where we were when we crossed the 401 on the 407. It was fun though, I got to see trees and a brokeback mountain cowboy. At one stop light only two cars were getting through each light rotation so we just kept heading south until traffic seemed to be moving until we found a quiet windy road that had a bridge built for one car, the top of the bridge wasn’t pavement but wood. The scenerey and the houses around there were nice but but it was completely in the middle of nowhere. This is about where the bridge was.

It was pretty funny watching John wake up and look around trying to figure out where he was. Oh well.

Today we dine on poutine, it is what my darling wants so I shall hunt it down and kill it and we will feast. Now what to do for the weekend? I say party!

Another Dollar

I called Bell to suspend my satellite service for a few month and it is now a 15$ charge to do that over the phone or 10$ over the internet. I searched all over Bell’s site but I can’t find the way to do it over the internet. The only reference I could find to suspending your account suggested that you call Bell to do it and that it will be a 10$ fee.

I need to stock up on some anime to get through the months without tv. I wonder if I should head to Canada’s Wonderland, it can be fun, maybe, we’ll see I guess. Yesterday I was soo tired, I went to bed at 8.30 and I was exhausted around 7 or so. Bill came by earlier and mowed the lawn, I am not too sure why, I was going to do it today. I was actually going to do it yesterday but my phone died so I didn’t know Kathy was waiting at home, I was waiting at the mall for her for over an hour.

Kitty seems bored, he is so full of energy, he desperately wants to go outside and he constantly makes a lot of weird and short meows and is running around the house. That is except for the time that there were a few giant birds in the yard squawking, than he kind of backs up and hides. When he sees a robin by itself and he wants to get it he tries to hide under the curtain or just out of sight by the tread mill and prepares to pounce. Sooooo cute.

I will be going to London soon, they have a mandrin there, I am so excited yum yum. I emailed them to see when the Kitchener one will be opening.

I dislike drifting

It was always the mode I dreaded the most in Need for Speed Underground, it was just well plain stupid, I didn’t really see the point of it. Thankfully the other race modes in that game are pleasant.

If you have a can opener that works and you truly love it, hold on to it. Mine stopped working the other day, it seems that the washer that was behind the gear started to disintegrate more and kind of covered the gear. So I was off to get a new one to replace it in order for me to access the beans I keep in cans. Every can opener on the market has plastic in it and that makes me sad for the future generations. Plastic handles are easy to break when just squeezing on a particular evil can. Having the turn key made of plastic is an even worse idea since that part experiences much more pressure and force, it is much too easy to just snap. I saw a few others that looked shiney and promising but the base of the turnkey, i.e. the part that would experience the most force was plastic. It looked like with a good twist I would have been able to hold the can opener in both hands, not in the good way, in the broken way.
There didn’t appear to be much difference in the looks of the can openers from the dollar store to the ones in normal stores, the prices ranged from 1 to 5 bucks. I did however find a great can opener, all metal, looked stylish, nice easy turn key, very comfortable to grip and squeeze. Unfortunately this Kitchen-Aid Canopener was 20 bucks. It was really nice but 20 dollars was a lot more that what I wanted to spend. Someday, maybe someday.

After being lazy for a couple of days I have begun to do my dishes, I really should have done this stuff imediately because it is rather stuck in there and gross to smell. Who knew cake batter hardened so much. I should be mowing the lawn but I shouldn’t leave a dangerous appliance like a dishwasher on unattended and I won’t be able to do it after because I live in fear of the June Bug, it surely wants to taste the sweet sugar that is my soul. Maybe tomorrow.

I dislike how much the weather report is changing on a daily basis, yesterday it reported that the weekend was going to be nothing but thunder showers, now it shows rain just for Thursday and Sunday. Well I guess it means it will rain at some point in the day, probably some point in everyday.

Run Around

This week was a lot of fun, I regret that I remember so little of it. My Birthday came and went on Wednesday. My parents got a cake as we attempted to celebrate, I didn’t get any of the cake though, it was from Zehrs, yick. I was expecting some ice cream cake goodness.

I played a bit of Paper Mario 2, it is pretty fun and neat, a bit more different than how I thought it would be. I finished off Super Mario DS, I started going through it again to collect all the coins and to get to the two worlds I missed due to forks in the road. I have to be tiny Mario to get there which will be interesting.

Chris will be interested to know that the Game Store by the comic/table top game stores has Star Craft 64 for aroound 60 bucks. I was pretty dissappointed though, there NES and SNES selection is down to almost nothing, or at least it seems like it. They seem to still have all the Atari games that they had the last time I was there.

Kathy and I went to the Kitcher’s farmer market today and got some of that veggie stuff, I haven’t had any of the oranges I got yet, we than began to wander around in the cold rain. At the farmer’s Market there was an old guy who played All Apologies and than Hurt for the people at the food court there. Down Town Kitchener is a mess of road closures due to all the construction, I guess it isn’t too bad, oh well. Kathy had a driving test on Friday, they go through those tests pretty quickly, she didn’t pass. I thought she failed when she left the parking lot, from my vantage point it looked like she did a rolling stop at the stop sign there. Oh the Store Brand Chocolate milk at Food Basic’s is really good and really rich.

My fish tank is now snail free and has stayed that way for about 2 weeks now, I guess I can begin to populate it now. I want to get a froggy in there. I was going to get one today but I arrived at the store much too late.

I am not too sure why but there are fishing poles in the garage, If possible I may take them out to the local park and fish in the icky river, just to get out really. I hope it is a nice day.

So tired

I liked setting off all of the boomsticks, that was fun. Pinballs and Fish are cool. Same price as at Forwell’s. I liked the Fish one more, the packaging described it as shooting fish and I needed to see what that was all about.

It is about 8 now and I am in bed and I wouldn’t be surprised if I just fell asleep right now, I slept a bunch on Monday but it was obviously not enough. I was yawning through a meeting at work no matter how hard I tried to stop. I think that may be partially to blame that it went during 2 pm. And it is very difficult to find an article detailing why someone naturally gets sleepy at 2 in the afternoon. The Kitty just strentched and plunked his head down on the mattress, I think he is out. He ran outside three different times today. The first two times he heards crows crowing and that scared him to make him run across the neighbours yard back into the house. The third time happened when some kids were making noise.

Kathy has a new mattress coming her way on Saturday, not the best mattress by any means but it should be good enough for 1-2 years. I didn’t shave again, I do not look very professional. Oh for those who have a computer in another room and want to access it or use programs from it remotely, tightvnc is dirt easy to use and rocks. Just google it but I think it is tightvnc.com. I now put blank cds in the computers incase I want to d/l something on to that computer and than burn it there, so handy. Now I need to figure out how to access it from other locations. I hope I remember to bring everything I need to bring tomorrow, my camera wants to take pictures of ducks. I should post some pictures soon!

Weird

I was walking with kathy home in Waterloo and this guy said “Donny, is that you?” He was my neighbour over 20 years ago. I apparenlty still look like a 5 year old. I’m surprised he remembered me since I don’t remember playing with the neighbourhood kids much and he looked to be about my age. Weird. I was a bit freaked out over it. It has been quite a while since I have written, I am sorry journal.

Today Kathy and I purchased a mattress, just a cheaper one to get us by for a year or two since the room is rather small. We also sat on the Swedish memory foam bed, my god, it is so soft and comfortable. I think it was around 3500 or so. We also went to St. Jacobs, didn’t really buy anything but did wander around a lot. The video game store didn’t want to pull out the box with the other PS1 games, just like what happened with Chris last year. It turns out there wasn’t anything in there. They had Ogre Battle 64 for 150 bucks, nothing else though. I did get a jumping spider though, yay, Kitty will have fun with that. The other day Kathy came by earlier and played and petted him for a solid hour, as soon as the door opened and I came in he immediately left her, meowed, and trotted over to me. Kitty loves me more.

I played DDR a bit today, I am so out of shape, I was sweating hard after a few rounds, I need to lose my gut.

Victoria Day is coming up and I got boomsticks. A lot of the neighbours have been firing off stuff every night.

So many lost memories already. Work has been well and I have been getting up a bit earlier since I have been staying at Kathy’s place more.

Today we also went and saw the cute and cuddly little baby rabbits at Waterloo Park and just wandered about in general a lot. It has been a good day.
